come waltz with me

Picture
Come Waltz With Me is a song Nancy composed to the melody of Hanley's House of Happiness, written by Irish American fiddler, Liz Carroll. During the song, an entire story takes place. It starts with a young woman mustering up the courage to ask a young man to dance, and then sweeping across the room with him experiencing the joy of waltzing while staring into each other's eyes. It is a song that captures the jubilation and romance of waltzing.

friends for a day and age

Picture
Friends for a Day and Age is a love song Nancy composed, inspired by the melody of Liz Carroll's, A Day and An Age. The song was written during the pandemic as Nancy reunited with  friends from Opryland and her childhood virtually and reflected on the lifelong friends who are dear to her. The song has a Celtic feeling of drifting on the water towards a destination surrounded by the eternal love of true friendship and dreams that will last far beyond this day and age. Jo Thompson-Szymanski has composed a dance to it, titled A Day and an Age.

1, 2, 3, TOO MANY TIMES

Picture
1, 2, 3, Too Many Times was composed by the same song writing team that created Come Dance with Me. It was recorded in a log cabin in Bethpage, Tennessee near where Marjorie Reeves is buried. Nancy's first country solo at Opryland was Tennessee Waltz, a song with the same theme and message; a woman watching another woman steal her love away on the dance floor. The 1, 2, 3, Too Many Times jacket artwork features the teenage Nancy performing on stage in Nashville wearing her yellow party waltzing dress. Frank Trace has choreographed a line dance to the song titled, Too Many Times.

big band country

Picture
There's no denying it, Big Band Country really shows you who Nancy Hays is as a vocalist. It's all here—my love of swing and standards, a song I composed for my beloved father, the first song I ever sang for my husband, a long-time rodeo favorite for the UK fans, and much, much more.
I hope you enjoy listening and dancing to these songs as much as I enjoy performing them. I hope you like getting to know the complete Nancy Hays. Thanks for listening

SIMPLY CLASSIC

Picture
In Simply Classic, songstress Nancy Hays' warm and expressive vocals lend unique style and depth to the lyrics and music of of some of America's greatest songwriters. A veteran stage performer, Nancy is accustomed to singing with a full orchestra. In this collection, however, she proves she is equally at ease crooning to the elegantly styled accompaniment of Robert Benson on the Grand piano.

COME DANCE WITH ME

Picture
"Great traditional and modern country music, sung by a talented new vocalist guaranteed to bring you out to dance".

Come Dance with Me is Nancy Hays most popular collection of country music originals. Nancy recorded it in Nashville backed by members of Ronnie Milsap’s band. It contains Nancy’s international hit as well as the song “Dad” composed for her father and many other Nancy Hays favorites.

"Come Dance with Me....performed by a lady with a voice that makes you feel you have known her for years. You want to sing along and then can't stop your feet tapping to the gentle Swing rhythmn. Jo Thompson put together a lovely beginner line dance of the same name that has taken off everywhere".
